For strong and heavy wall construction
The block itself is the facing element in a segmental retaining wall or modular block system for constructing architecturally pleasing landscape using retaining wall structures. In the case of gravity walls the units can be used on their own, whilst in the situation where they are used to replace conventional wall systems, such as an alternative to structural reinforced concrete retaining walls, they are used with a reinforcing element or friction anchor located in the soil at specified vertical and horizontal spacing's, and tied back into the soil mass behind the "Geo Block" facing. These reinforcing or friction anchor elements are frequently made up of polymeric strips, but in some cases it may be beneficial to consider using polymeric grids. In this case, where friction ties are used, the “wall structure” is actually the soil mass defined by the volume within which the polymeric strips extend.
